“Slutet” är en föreställning om konfrontationen mellan liv och död. I denna dokumentära föreställning undersöker vi livets slutskede. Du kommer, tillsammans med en liten grupp, bekanta dig med ett nära porträtterat kollage av autentiska röster om sina arbeten och relation till döden. Sjuksköterskan som tar hand om sina patienter runt åtta dagar innan de dör. Maskinisten som bränner 22 kroppar per dag. Operasångaren som bara sjunger på begravningar. Dessa är faktiska stycken om fascinationen kring livets dödlighet och en inbjudan att besöka platser som en vanlig, levande människa vanligtvis inte har tillträde till.
Under kvällens lopp kommer du att bli guidad genom situationer där du får möjlighet att hantera tystnaden, separationen och behovet av tröst som uppstår i dessa rum. Du möter andra människor under en kväll och det som för er samman är tanken på vad som händer oss när vi dör.

“Slutet” (“The End”) is a performance about the confrontation between life and death. In this documentary performance we investigate the final stages of life. At a secret location, you will, together with a small group get acquainted with a near-portrayed collage of documentary voices about their work and relationship with death. The nurse who takes care of her patients on average eight days before they die. The engineer who burns 22 bodies a day. The Opera Singer who only sings at funerals. These are the actual sections about the fascination of life’s mortality and an invitation to visit places that a common living person usually does not have access to.
During the evening you will be guided through situations where you will be given the opportunity to handle the silence, the separation and the need for comfort that occurs in these rooms. You meet other people during one evening and what brings you together is the thought of what happens to us when we die.
